The library stock take is finally complete and the children are once more able to borrow Library books.

Children from Reception to Year 4 come to the Library once a week to choose and return their book. Please could you ensure that the library book is in school ready to return on their Library day. By doing this your child will be able to borrow a wide range of books, as will other children.

Library days are as follows:

Wednesday: Year 1 SK, Year 1 JI, Year 3 AS, Year 2 AH
Thursday: Year 4 JC, Reception AT, Reception ES, Year 3 CT
Friday: Year 2 SL, Year 4 RW, Year 4 ZA, Year 3 KG.

The Library is ‘OPEN’ for Year 5 and 6 children on Wednesday at 9.00 and at break on Thursday morning
The book your child has chosen will be at home for 1 week – 2 at the most to read and enjoy. Children can have 1 book at a time on loan, either fiction or non- fiction.

It is a good idea to keep the school library book in a separate place at home to avoid it becoming lost amongst your child’s own book collection. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair please replace it. A ‘used’ copy from Amazon is fine. If you would like to return the book before the next library time then please do so and the class teacher will keep the book safe in the classroom.

Year 3 – Year 6 children can also now access Reading Cloud our Library management system at home using the website https://www.readingcloud.net/ The children will have had a demo of this at school. Each child will have been given their own username and password. Following this link takes you to a guide that explains all the features of the Reading Cloud.

Many thanks

Mrs Goodchild – School librarian
