National General Knowledge Quiz

On Thursday afternoon, 12 children from Years 3, 4 , 5 and 6 set off for Davenies School, Beaconsfield, to participate in the Regional Heat of the National General Knowledge Quiz.

Our 2 teams were soon subjected to wide ranging and demanding questions and yet, a little way into the competition, were holding on to 2nd and 3rd place simultaneously. It was, however, a false dawn and by the end of the quiz our best position was 8th out of the 12 teams entered, despite giving some excellent answers.

Our 2 teams can be very proud of their efforts, including in the lead up to the quiz - they were as follows:
Team 1 - Jack W (yr 6), Jack I (Yr 5), Oliver B (Yr 4) and William F (Yr 4). Team 2 - Tom W (Yr 6), Harriet K (Yr 5), Alex C (Yr 4) and Emily B (Yr 3). Travelling reserves - Alex O’D (Yr 6), Oakley D (Yr 5), Oscar V-B (Yr 4) and Zoe K (Yr 3).

Thank you to all of the staff who helped in the weeks before the quiz and to all parents who came to support the teams on the day.
