Nursery children enjoy a very busy week
26th May 2017
They have enjoyed the lovely weather and made the most of the sunshine. A walk down to Buryfields in Great Missenden provided the space for the children to play football, ball games and even a visit to the park!
Back in the nursery garden the children have been taking great care of their sunflowers and making sure they get a very good watering each day. We have been comparing the size of each sunflower using language such as big, small, biggest, smallest and tallest.
The focus for science day was forces. The children made parachutes and paper aeroplanes, recording whose dropped down the quickest and flew the furthest. The water tray was a great place to test our sailing boats and the children tested different cars to see which ones came down the ramp the quickest and continued on the furthest.
There was great excitement when we used face time to speak to Dhiren who was on holiday. We know many of you are going away this week so we hope you have a lovely time.
In hopeful preparation of this warm weather continuing could we ask that you apply a 12 hour suncream before your child comes to school and that they have a sunhat and are wearing sensible shoes suitable for outside play. Thank you,
