Nursery enjoy the new mud kitchen

Our new mud kitchen has provided lots of opportunities for imaginative play this week and some interesting concoctions have been prepared! In order for this to become part of our daily provision we would kindly request that your child always has their wellington boots and waterproof clothing. These are necessary as they do get muddy, thank you.

We have continued with our 'Take One Picture' activities this week and we will be busy preparing all their work for you to view next week. Our main focus this week has been talking about the artist, you may wish to challenge your child to see if they can remember his name. Thank you for all your contributions, the photos have been very successful and encouraged the children to talk about their family. The photos of your pets led to a mathematical activity in which we made a bar graph out of duplo bricks to record who had what pet at home.

Axel Scheffler books have come to life today! Lots of enthusiasm was observed as the children retold the stories through small world play. Thank you to Jayden for bringing in all your pirate treasure, it was very popular with all.

Next week we will be thinking about Spring - growing and planting. If anyone would like to contribute to our garden area please come and talk to us. Last years parents did a great job and the children enjoyed working alongside them.
