Nursery go on an Easter egg hunt

Nursery go on an Easter egg hunt

Easter just isn't Easter without an egg hunt. The children followed written clues to find the eggs around the school grounds. They showed excellent listening skills and excitement levels rose as the clues led us to the Easter Bunny's treasure. There was lots of discussion about the Easter Bunny, the children commented about the Bunny being like Father Christmas working at night time! When the children returned to the classroom with their golden egg they got to work with some important problem solving, working out how many eggs they could have each?!

Our Easter celebrations have also given the children an opportunity to explore patterns and shapes. They have been decorating Easter eggs, learning about repeated patterns and drawing their own shapes on eggs, such as circles and diamonds. We have discussed what Easter is and listened to 'The Easter Story.'

All the Nursery staff wish you all a Happy Easter and hope you enjoy the holidays. When we return we will be talking about 'Where we live?' and looking at places that we have travelled to. If you have any photos that you would like your child to share of countries they have visited please bring them in for show and tell and a whole class display.
