Nursery participate in lots of TOP activities

Nursery have been inspired by our 'Take One Picture' painting and have had a very busy week participating in lots of activities.

We have made beautiful bird cages and marble ink birds and different shaped bird feeders for our garden. The children have enjoyed looking and talking about their family photographs, thank you for sending these in.

We have used our senses to explore and taste all kinds of fruit, making our own decisions as to whether we liked or disliked what we were tasting. The children even surprised themselves!

Following on from this they looked at pictures of food thinking about which foods were healthy or unhealthy.

Nursery appear to have lots of budding artists who have produced amazing still life paintings. Look out for these at our exhibition.

Next week we will be continuing with many of these activities as well as celebrating Shrove Tuesday and participating in World Book Day.

As we have been learning about animals the book we are focusing on is 'Flip Flap Pets by Axel Scheffler. If you have a pet at home a photograph of it would be very helpful. On the day we will be having a book swap, so please encourage your child to bring in up to five books that they no longer read to swap with another child. It's also a dressing up day so if your child would like to dress as animal they may.
