We are thrilled to introduce the latest addition to Gateway - a cutting-edge 3D printer! With this technology, the children can unlock a world of creativity and innovation and turn their imaginations into reality, crafting tangible models, prototypes, and designs.

They will learn through hands-on experiences, fostering skills in design thinking, problem-solving, and technological literacy. All part of our mission to inspire curiosity, creativity and foster innovation at Gateway School. We are looking forward to sharing the creations from the children in the future.

Thank you to FoG and the Gateway community for assisting in the fundraising of this item, which will be a great addition for all the children across the school.

Gateway School Earns Green Flag Award from Eco-Schools!

Gateway School has achieved a prestigious accolade: the Green Flag Award from Eco-Schools! Our dedicated Environment Committee has been the driving force behind this success, advocating and championing various green initiatives across the school. From reducing energy consumption, fostering natural habitats for animals and enhancing biodiversity by putting living plants in every classroom, their efforts have been commendable.

Eco-Schools, an international educational program, serves as a platform for young minds to delve into sustainability and climate change, empowering them to take meaningful action. Gateway School has embraced this initiative wholeheartedly, engaging the community in exploring, understanding, and actively participating in making a positive impact to the environment.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support and collaboration of our entire school community. Together, they have worked to promote a culture that values and prioritises sustainability.

A huge thank you goes out to our incredible Environment Committee, whose passion and dedication have been instrumental in this accomplishment. Their hard work and enthusiasm have truly made a difference.

We are proud to celebrate this significant milestone in our sustainability journey. Let's continue our efforts to create a greener, more environmentally conscious future for generations to come. Thank you to everyone who contributed—it's a collective achievement we should all be proud of.

12 Days of Christmas

Celebrating the Spirit of Christmas in Great Missenden: A Village-Wide Art Trail

This year, we were proud to have hosted a heartwarming festive community project. In collaboration with twelve of the village shops, our school Art and Design and Technology Department embarked on an enchanting journey to bring the magic of The 12 Days of Christmas to life. Our talented pupils from across the school have poured their creative energies into crafting unique artworks, each one dedicated to a particular verse of the popular carol. Starting from Saturday 25 November, the village was adorned with these artworks, displayed in the shop windows. To join in with some community fun, children could pick up a flyer from Hamptons and solve the riddles and clues that guided them on a festive adventure through the village. Along the way, they could discover which shop is displaying the artwork relevant to each of the verses in The 12 Days of Christmas. Once all shops and artwork were identified, children could return to Hamptons to receive a gift.

We extend our thanks to the participating shops for their generosity and support. As the holiday season approaches, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating the warmth and togetherness that makes Great Missenden truly special.
