PE Department News - Inter-school sport is back

A buzz filled the air in our games afternoons this week as we finally returned to inter-school fixtures with Y4, Y5 and Y6 netball. Herries were the visitors to Sprinters Leisure Centre and all of the year groups played with mixed teams, before concluding this afternoon with a short match between the two schools. Across all the year groups the results of these matches were close but the focus was mainly on ensuring that the children had a safe and enjoyable environment to return to school sport. This certainly was the case and as they became more comfortable in their surroundings, their confidence and the standard of netball improved very quickly.

It was a hugely successful and enjoyable week of fixtures as we take more steps towards our full and varied programme of school sport.
