Preschool role play five little ducks rhyme

Preschool role play five little ducks rhyme

The children loved role playing the five little ducks rhyme this week. We used the rhyme to introduce subtraction in a practical way. The sunny weather enabled us to get the paddling pool out for the first time this year. Five little ducks went swimming along with five little pre school children. They enjoyed jumping out of the pool as their ducks swam away.

With sports day fast approaching, the children have been busy practicing the skills they will need for this event. They have been thinking about aim and accuracy when throwing and had great fun negotiating an obstacle course. At home you may like to set up an obstacle course in the garden.

The rain hasn’t stopped us enjoying the outside and the younger children got dressed up in their waterproofs to go on a bear hunt. We used lots of imagination to recreate the story.

Some of children have been tidying the preschool garden and planting some herb seeds. We hope these grow over the half term as we will be using these in a cooking activity when we are back.

Hopefully the sun will be shining when we return. Please could we politely remind you to send your child in with a named sun hat and apply a 12 hour sun cream before your child arrives at preschool. The children love to run around in the garden so please ensure their footwear will enable them to do this comfortably.

Thank you to those parents who have already added a comment on Tapestry for your child’s reports. We hope you all have a lovely half term.
