Preschool enjoy a festive Christmas lunch

The festivities have continued this week in Preschool! We’ve had lots of glitter, paint and sparkles as we finished off our creative, festive pictures and cards. Transition children learnt all about the Nativity story through ‘Little Owl and the Star’ and coloured in Nativity pictures. Some children even had a go at labelling their pictures, with support to sound out each name. The children have also enjoyed making ice cream cone Christmas trees with icing and edible decorations. There has been plenty of festive singing this week as children have asked to sing their Christmas favourites (‘When Santa got stuck up the chimney’ has been very popular!)

The run up to Christmas is always so exciting and magical with little ones and it has been wonderful to share this special time with the children. We’re sure you’ll agree that last week’s ‘Strictly Christmas’ show was fabulous and showed how far the children have come this term. They all did so well to perform in front of an audience and we we are extremely proud of them all, as we’re sure you are too.

We have had a very busy, productive and enjoyable term in Preschool and we look forward to next term! Thank you all for your continued support this term and for the generous gifts. We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year.
