Preschool children are busy little scientists

Following on from last week’s fireworks experiment the children have been busy little scientists. They investigated for themselves what happens when you mix water, oil and food colouring. They were delighted to use Mr Bridges’ science equipment, especially the goggles. The activity encouraged lots of questioning opportunities and discussions between the children as to the outcomes of their experiments.

We started the day on Tuesday with a baking session in preparation for our 'bonfire party' in the afternoon. The children made their own bread rolls and enjoyed having hot dogs around the 'bonfire'. A lovely photo can be seen on the school’s Facebook page.

Next week we will begin rehearsing for our Christmas play. Look out for costume slips in your child's folder.
