Preschool children play a game of Bingo

BINGO has been a definite favourite in Preschool this week! Our themed teapot number cards encouraged number recognition and team work in a fun way. As well developing number recognition, bingo cards also develop children's visual perception and concentration. Oscar was thrilled when he only had one number left, to get, to win. When his last number was called he couldn't get the word 'BINGO' out quick enough!

In Music, the children have been exploring the rhythm to 'I'm a little teapot' using a variety of percussion instruments. We talked about the vocabulary in the rhyme, learning what a 'spout' 'stout' and 'steam' is. Following this session, the children then had a tea party, with their very own cup of tea!

Today, the children have voted for next week’s rhyme, which will be 'Hickory Dickory Dock'! This allows a fantastic opportunity to look at clocks and begin to tell the time. The children are welcome to bring in a watch, or a picture of a clock they have at home for show and tell.
