Preschool presents 'Strictly Christmas'

Preschool presents 'Strictly Christmas'

Well done to all of the children who took to the dance floor this morning to perform a dazzling display of dance routines. The children have worked exceptionally hard and overcome some nerves and shyness. Performing develops social skills and good behaviour in children. Through speaking lines or singing a song on stage, children gain self-confidence and self-esteem. The Preschool team are very proud of each and everyone who took part and hope you enjoyed the production. We are hoping that all the children went home with all their belongings, if you find your child is missing any item of clothing after the performance please let one of the teachers know.

It’s been another creative week in Preschool with lots of glitter, paint and imagination. The children have produced some amazing Christmas decorations which are hanging up and making the classroom feel very festive. We have been discussing the true meaning of Christmas and the children have listened to ‘The Christmas Story.’ Sienna and Thomas enjoyed relating Mary and Joseph to the parts they played in ‘Strictly Christmas.’

Next week, we are looking forward to building the children’s excitement at this magical time of year, as the festivities will continue. There might even be a surprise visit from Santa. The children will be busy making things to bring home. We are planning to have a Christmas party on Thursday, which will include lots of dancing, Christmas games and delicious food. On Friday, the children can wear a Christmas jumper and will join in with the whole school assembly. All the Preschool children are to be collected at 3.00pm on this day. If your child has a sibling in the School, we can arrange for them to come to Preschool and be collected at the same time.
