Preschool search for signs of Autumn
29th September 2017
This week we have been on lots of outdoor walks in search of signs for Autumn. The children have been developing their independence skills, getting themselves into their waterproof clothing and putting on their wellies. We talked about the leaves changing colour and brought some leaves back to the classroom to explore under the light box. This encouraged the children to use their observational and ICT skills.
We have been learning about Harvest festival and the children have been joining in with lots of different activities. We read the story, 'The Little Red Hen' and then had great fun making our own bread! They used their hands to mix and knead the dough, helping to develop their fine motor muscles.
If you go on a woodland walk at the weekend please bring in things your children find to display on our Autumn table.
