Preschool - Take over school assembly

Preschool were asked to host an assembly this week and we thought that it would be a great idea to let the rest of the school know about National Smile month. We have been learning about this in Preschool, talking about what foods are good for your teeth, like cheese and vegetables, milk and water, and what foods we should have less of. Mia said we should eat less sweets and chocolate, and Benji said fizzy drinks and squash are not good for our teeth. Otis F also knew that we should brush our teeth twice a day for two minutes to keep our teeth clean and healthy.

To support this learning, we have taken part in a number of activities and the children’s favourite was a teeth brushing activity. We had a picture of some teeth, which we coloured in with a pen to make the teeth look really dirty. The children then used toothbrushes and toothpaste to clean the teeth. They had to make sure they were careful to get all the pen off so the teeth were nice and clean.
