Reception - Brilliant Maths

We made it! A very big congratulations to you all for working so hard during this term and lockdown. Reception children have been absolutely amazing and have made the teachers smile so many times a day. We were thrilled during this week’s consolidation lessons in Maths, where we revisited areas of learning such as number bonds to 10, addition, number sentences, missing numbers and number stories. The children have become very quick in the number recognition, number writing and mental arithmetic and we can’t wait to get back into school to continue to introduce new skills and concepts as we work towards the end of the Summer Term. Please can you continue to encourage your child to do independent writing at home, just simple daily/weekly sentences by themselves would be a great activity to reinforce.
