Reception are busy learning number bonds

We have been busy bees this week and learning our number bonds to 10. The children have learnt a rhyme to help them remember the pairs and this has been sent home for you to go over with your child during the weekend. Our aim is for the children to learn by heart the number pairs which make 10 so for example 7 + ? = 10 We have accessed this concept through number stories, number sentences, separating 10 objects in different ways and acting out people getting on and off a bus! It has really got the children thinking! I hope you enjoy the homework this weekend where you can consolidate the number bonds to 10 with your child at home.
