Reception children visit Take One Picture

Our weeks just get busier and busier in Reception! We started our week revisiting the story ‘Room on the Broom’ from our World Book Day activities on Friday. It was amazing to see how focussed and enthusiastic the children were to retell the story in their own words. Julia Donaldson really is one of our favourite authors in Reception with many of the children familiar with her work and can recognise Axel Scheffler’s illustrations from a mile away! The children are all very excited to be able to give you a personal tour around our whole school Take One Picture exhibition in the school hall on Saturday. They have worked very hard in all areas of the curriculum and you will be able to see a selection of their work on display. Please could we take this opportunity to remind you that we are going on our second school trip on Friday 17th March to Mead Open Farm. Your child will need to come into school in their school uniform and we will change into their red PE sweatshirts when they come in in the morning. Your child will need a packed lunch in a named plastic bag and all items MUST be disposable as we will be throwing everything away before our return to school. This includes water bottles, no tin bottles or plastic bottles that you wish to be returned. Please ensure that there are no nuts in any food items. Fingers crossed for some sunny springtime weather!
