Reception children continue dinosaur topic
22nd January 2016
We started the busy week getting our imaginations flowing by designing our very own dinosaurs. We thought of some very interesting names and all had a go at labelling them by ourselves. We thought about the size of their heads, the lengths of their tails and whether they had plates and scales. Some fantastic ideas! We have also enjoyed lots of dinosaur number work this week. We have been counting down from 20 and having a go at working out some tricky subtraction number sentences. We made a necklace made of ‘dinosaur teeth’ and had to calculate how many we had left when we took a certain amount away. During forest school we worked together in pairs to create our own dinosaurs using sticks and twigs. Some super creativity amidst the mud and puddles!
