Reception children enjoy a day trip to Mead Open Farm
17th March 2017
Spring has finally sprung this week! With the lovely weather, Reception children have enjoyed playing outside during break times without needing our coats and many have enjoyed playing the new large jenga game. We have been working hard in maths to continue using money and to reinforce our number recognition to 20, counting both up and down from 20, counting forwards and backwards from a given number, as well as making sure the formation of each number is correct. Something that we can all continue to work on at home. You might like to take full advantage of the nice weather by using chalks out on the patio or pavement or water with a paintbrush for additional reinforcement. The children might even like to write out their own numbers sentences on the floor! Again, any lovely photos would be wonderful to see on Tapestry. Our week finished with our super trip to Mead Open Farm. We saw lots of farm animals and even had a go at bottle feeding the lambs ourselves! Definitely some prospective farmers in the making! We are looking forward to seeing you all at the parent meetings on Monday and Wednesday next week. Please make sure you have booked a slot to see your teacher.
