Reception children have fun counting up to 100
9th March 2018
This week in Maths we have been looking at numbers to 100. Counting up to 100 and looking at the patterns within the 100 number square. Miss Topping has been trying to catch everyone out by hiding a number in the grid under a piece of card and challenging the children to work out what number it is underneath. Looking at the number before and after has helped us work it out! Miss Topping was very upset that she was unable to catch anyone out! Within these lessons, we have been using vocabulary such as greater than, less than, more than, before and after. This was a fun challenge and it was great to see the children having a go at this with their friends throughout the day. If you have your own 100 number square, why not give it a go at home!
