Reception children learn about the bones in our bodies

First of all we would like to thank you for all your beautiful present and cards. We hope you all had a great Christmas holiday. In our first full week back we have had a very busy time! In our French lesson we learned all about La fête des Rois. We were so excited to taste la Galette des Rois kindly donated by Oscar. It was so much fun searching for a fève. We have also started our new science topic. We have learnt lots of new and interesting facts about different roles and tasks carried out by doctors and nurses in a hospital. We were very lucky to hear all about the role of a Pediatrician from our special visitor on Friday. We would like to thank Mrs. Flanagan for taking her time to talk to us about her important job. We also had great fun learning the names of different bones in our body while singing a song (Skeleton Dance) and making skeleton pictures. In amongst all of these exciting activities, we have been playing in our role play area set up as a hospital. We became junior doctors, nurses and patients. Believe it or not, we have even delivered a few babies! Have a fun weekend and we will see you all on Monday.
