Reception children produce wonderful horse models
28th February 2020
This week we have continued our study of the painting The Battle of San Romano by Paolo Uccello in preparation for our Take One Picture exhibition. The children used their observational and maths skills to count the number of horses, knights, helmets and oranges they could see. We have continued our study of horses through painting and making pictures of horses with pasta and pegs. Using pieces of foam, the children displayed their creativity in producing some super horse models. The children explored the texture and uses of papier mache to cover the junk model horse they started before half term. Using paired observation and discussion, the children identified characteristics of horses to assist with their independent writing and produced some super writing. Please continue to encourage your child to practise the class acrostic poem, as we plan to perform them next Friday. Have a super weekend!
