Reception children start to explore toys from the past

Reception children start to explore toys from the past

This week the children have been writing about their half term news and we have been thrilled to see such progress in both the children’s copy and independent writing. We have been discussing, and the children are becoming aware of, finger spaces, positioning of letters on the line and putting a full stop at the end of a sentence. A lovely way to start our first week back. Mrs Goodchild has kindly delivered our ‘Old and New Toys’ artefacts box from the Hertfordshire Library, and we are looking forward to investigating toys from the past over the next few weeks as part of our new Topic. Please can your child bring in their favourite toy (nothing too precious please) on Monday 7th November, as we will be talking about them in our classes. Mrs Sutton was also very proud of her class for presenting their first assembly to the Junior School. Well done!
