Reception classrooms get a makeover
15th May 2015
We were thrilled to come back after Easter to our beautiful new Reception classrooms.
The teachers and children designed the layout for the new classrooms and chose colour schemes and new furniture. Simple white walls and furniture are offset by the wooden floor with splashes of colour in the furniture. This ensures that the children’s work on the walls is the centre of attention.
The builders were in all holiday, plastering walls, putting in new radiators, rewiring, painting, building new cupboards, laying new floors etc
Each classroom has new display shelves in the original arches which makes a beautiful feature.
The children were very excited to see their new classrooms, especially their lego wall!
When asked about her new classroom Serena said ‘Lets just say, I love the Lego Wall because I can spell my name on it and make pictures on it too!
Toby C said ‘I like the new tables and chairs because it is a flower shape.’
Kitty said ‘I like the new Magna-Tiles because you can build really cool things’
Charlie said ‘I love the new monster trucks because I like playing with cars’.
A big thank you to the teachers for ensuring the classrooms were ready for the first day of term.
