Reception - Father Christmas and the importance of giving

We have had a very enjoyable last week of term. The children have experienced many sensory activities this week, including painting with their feet, playing with pom-poms, listening to Christmas sounds and making decorations with bread. The children did a terrific job taking part in their Santa Dash (and thank you grownups for supplying hats/antlers). It has been super to hear some of the children continuing to sing their christmas songs for fun in the classroom as they learn this week. We have also learnt about Father Christmases around the world. The children have also learnt that some other children are not as fortunate as they are at Christmas, reinforcing the message that giving gifts is important as well as receiving them. We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021.
