Reception have fun on French Day
22nd April 2016
We have had a fantastic first week of the Summer Term. With the weather on our side, we have loved being able to play outside and make use of the space in the sunshine. It has been wonderful to hear all about your busy Easter holidays and the children enjoyed writing about their holiday news at the beginning of the week. In our Art lessons, the children were introduced to the painting ‘A Starry Night’ by Van Gogh and used different techniques to create their own version of the painting. On Friday we had a great time dressed in our red, white and blue clothes as part of our French day. We enjoyed sampling some delicious French cuisine by trying some baguette, ham and croissant. We also worked in teams to use different construction toys to have a go at creating the Eiffel Tower!
