Reception inspired by 'Aliens love underpants'
26th May 2016
Alien’s love underpants by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort has given us all great hilarity this week and we have designed our very own pants using a variety of materials. It was very interesting to see how some of the children were able to create symmetrical designs and really thought about the colours and patterns. We ended up with some very snazzy designs! As the rehearsals for the summer production are now underway we are very impressed with how quickly the children have learnt their words. Now can you focus on helping your child say their words with intonation and expression. We will be sending home the children’s sunflowers so it might be a nice activity for your child to plant them somewhere in the garden or in a pot and take photographs of them doing this for their first show and tell of the final part of the summer term. As their homework over the half term, we have sent home a diary to encourage your child to write about a few activities they have done over the week off. Please can this be independent writing as much as possible with some illustrations. Have a great week and keep fingers crossed for some sunshine!
