Reception learn about Harvest

The children in Reception have been working very hard this week! They have been doing lots of letter formation and focussing on b and d and looking at the correct starting point for each one. We have been enjoying our ‘Power Maths’ lessons which are helping us learn more about the number system, engaging in accurate counting, number recognition and writing. We have been learning about Harvest and why people celebrate it. Alongside this topic we have been completing fruit and vegetable jigsaws, learning about how carrots grow and gathered ready to be sent to the shops and we have even done some vegetable printing using a variety of paints. Then all of a sudden it is the weekend again and another week has passed. The teachers really enjoyed the parent phone calls and having a catch up with you all.
