This week Reception have been learning about animals as part of the half term topic. We have thoroughly enjoyed looking closely at some great animal photographs and sorting them into different categories. The children have been finding out different facts and information about reptiles and mammals. This will lead us nicely into our trip to Tring Museum on Friday, where we are hoping to spot some of the animals studied in class. Continuing with the theme of animals, Finlay has been very excited with the arrival of his new puppy ‘Winston Page’. He was able to talk to the year group about looking after a puppy and found it very funny how Winston is enjoying chewing everything in sight, including the indoor plants and flowers! In numeracy, we have continued to learn about money by adding up a variety of coins to make a given amount. We are hoping that you can make it to the whole school ‘Take One Picture’ exhibition where you will be able to see all of the hard work your children have been up to over the past week. We are sure the children will be able to talk you through each activity to really bring the display to life!
Next week Thank you all for being so efficient and signing up for Parent consultations. These will be taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evening in your child’s classroom. We look forward to seeing you all.
