Reception have lots to talk about after the Easter break
28th April 2017
It was lovely to welcome all of the children back after the long Easter break and they all had so much to talk about. We have really enjoyed looking at some of the Space drawings/models made over the holiday which have provided great stimuli for class discussion. The children are very enthusiastic about this topic and already, information books and toys etc have been brought into school to show their friends. On the first day back we were busy with our first swimming lesson and the children were absolutely fantastic at changing and looking after their own belongings. Well done for having all of their swimming kits clearly named! During forest school the children were able to order the planets after making up a silly sentence to help them remember the sequence. The sentence was ‘Many vultures eat mice jelly sometimes under Neptune’.This summer term is always a very busy one for both teachers and pupils. End of year productions, reports, summer fun days and open mornings are just a few of the things we will be focussing on over the coming term. A polite reminder to please read the newsletters and check for any notifications of upcoming events in your child’s bag. Enjoy the Bank holiday weekend and see you on Tuesday.
