Reception - Making new friends!

Our new Reception classes have started off beautifully this year, really settling in quickly and straight into our school routines and learning. Already showing their resilience built from our Preschool, they will continue to build on this, while they make new friendships and develop their learning behaviours that will set them up for the rest of their school lives. In class we have met our new class mascots and given them names, we have come up with our own class rules and have started learning our sounds, numbers and taking books home. We learned about Rosh Hashanah, where we tasted apples and honey and did some apple printing.

We took part in National Fitness day with different activities with the rest of the school and have been taking part in whole school assemblies, learning about our school parliament and taking part in the wonderful clubs that are on offer this term. During History day, we made rockets from construction, painted flowers and coloured in pictures of the events that took place in the 1960s’, we had A LOT of fun!
