Reception say farewell to Miss Byrne

Reception say farewell to Miss Byrne

Our final week of this half of term and what a speedy few weeks we have had! Our Topic of ‘Dinosaurs’ has certainly been a fun one and the children have all loved the variety of activities they have been involved in. Next half term our new topic will be ‘Animals’. Change of note to your diary, our school trip to Mead Open Farm is now on Friday 17 March and NOT 24 as previously printed. We are sure the children will all be looking forward to a fun day out, we know we are! Thank you to all of you who came to our ‘Tapestry’ introduction evening on Wednesday, we have had lots of positive comments about the photos and videos already posted and we have enjoyed seeing some of yours from home already on there. On the return to school after half term, we will be participating in the whole school ‘Take One Picture’ where we will be focussing on the painting ‘The Graham Children’ by William Hogarth. We would to invite you to take a family picture of you dressed in your best clothes, no smiling, and if possible with ‘sepia’ filter. These will be displayed in the whole school exhibition later on in the term. Finally, we would like to say Goodbye and a fond farewell to Miss Byrne who has been working with us in Reception. We wish her good luck as she moves on to her next placement school where we know she will continue to flourish. Both the teachers and pupils will miss her! Have a Happy Half Term!
