Roald Dahl Day 2018
21st September 2018

Once again, we have celebrated the amazing writing of Roald Dahl with an enormous range of activities across the school. Many parents enjoyed watching our wonderful Year 6 children performing sketches from his books. They performed brilliantly, with great characterisation, on and off all day to the delight of the children visiting from the other year groups. Can you guess which books each year chose? Reception hunted for bugs and measured peaches, Year 1 made beards and wrote descriptions, Year 2 walked to Great Missenden, year 3 compared numbers in maths using a symbol with sharp teeth, Year 4 designed another family member for a very unhygienic set of people and Year 5 invented their own ‘whipplescrumptious adjectives’. We had wonderful fancy dress either as Roald Dahl characters or bug characters from James and the Giant Peach. The children and staff looked fantastic.
