Rugby vs Thorpe House - Wednesday 9 November 2016

Gateway A and B played in two even and well contested matches against Thorpe House A and B.

Gateway’s new rugby coach, Rob Hill, found himself watching and guiding both teams in his very first session. He was interested to assess their strengths and weaknesses for future development. The games were very exciting with both teams running and passing the ball well. It was Gateway’s tackling that gave them a slight edge in both matches. Although, the A team were a player down for the last 5 minutes, they managed to win 6-5, despite a late surge from Thorpe House. The B team ran out worthy winners 8-5. All the boys showed great enthusiasm, tenacity and sportsmanship and were a credit to the school. HJ
