'Santa Cam' delivered to Year 1
2nd December 2016
December is now upon us. This week, time, lots of time, has been spent rehearsing for our Christmas play. We have been learning to project our voices, sing out loudly and dance all at the same time! Can we please ask you to keep up the good work learning lines and cues at home - learnt lines make our rehearsals run so much more smoothly. Thank you for your understanding in this because like you, we want the children to perform as best they can.
In Maths our focus has been on money and all children in the year group have found working with and understanding money very challenging. Perhaps using ‘real’ money at home would aid their understanding?
In English, Christmas activities have started; with the help of commas, writing lists of presents desired and of course letters to Santa. Most surprisingly a ‘Santa Cam’ has been delivered to both classes, Santa, apparently is watching :) The children were enthralled to listen to Santa’s letter to the teachers and have been waving and smiling into the camera all day!
