Senior Sports Day

Sprinters Leisure Centre provided the venue for Senior Sports Day for the first time ever and it proved to be a real success. With track and field events all taking place at the same time it was wonderful to see all of the children active and enjoying winning points for their house. Every child participated in at least 5 events and all of their results counted towards their house total. The special traits that sport can bring were all on show and there was a carnival atmosphere created by the wonderful supporters. After the results from the four year groups had been added together, Mrs La Farge presented the cup to the Senior Sports Day Winners 2019 - Seacole!

Junior Sports Day

Junior Sports Day was the first of six house events in the last three weeks of term. There was something for everyone as the children took to the courts and field to participate in activities that demonstrated a range of emerging sporting skills. Preschool and Reception started us off with their round-robin event which was not scored but some of the children demonstrated a competitive edge nonetheless. Next, it was the turn of Year 1 and 2 who were competing for house points and the Junior Sports Day Shield. The determination of the children to do their best was brilliant and this, coupled with the fantastic support from the spectators created a competitive but fun atmosphere. The event culminated in the frantic and exciting team relay races and when all the results were totted up, it was Seacole who lift the shield for 2019!
