Seniors - Learning for Life

Thanks to the newly extended school hall, we are now able to hold whole school assemblies and we kicked off this week by introducing our Learning for Life topic: Being Me in My World. During this topic, the children will have opportunities to identify their goals for the year, understand the consequences of their actions and learn about aspects of democracy and the importance of pupil voice. As part of this, Year 6 are in the process of taking on responsibilities across the school and are really keen to embrace the idea of being role models to the younger children in the school - from time to time, you may see them working with the children in EYU, assisting staff with junior clubs, undertaking librarian duties or even assisting the office in admin tasks - all ideas that they have come up with themselves. School Council and Eco Council reps are also being appointed for this term from Years 3 to 6. These children will take on additional responsibilities and be a significant link between the student body and staff, helping to move the school forward in the process.
