U11 Cricket v Davenies
The cricket season got underway on a fine afternoon at Sprinters as our Y6 boys took on Davenies. Both matches were very even contests and there was some excellent batting and fielding on both sides. Most importantly, the match gave Mr Kerry and Mr Carey the opportunity to make note of areas for improvement for the term ahead. There was a win and a loss for the Gateway teams and we look forward to seeing the boys develop in the coming weeks.

ISA National Triathlon
The beautiful Herefordshire countryside provided the perfect setting for the ISA National Triathlon. Gateway were entered into three categories with a total of 18 pupils participating at the event. Completing the gruelling course is a challenge in itself and all of the Gateway children showed great grit and resilience to cross the finish line.
There were some particularly notable performances in the Tristart and Tri-star 1 categories as Saskia C and Danica F finished in the bronze and silver medal places respectively. It was Katie A who produced the most impressive performance though as she finished first place in Tri-star 1.
Well done to all the children who participated in this challenging event.
