Super effort from our Reception children

We would like to say a very big ‘Well done’ to both the children and parents for such a super effort on our first week back! The children have been working well in their 3 pods and following social distancing rules carefully and sensibly. We have been talking a lot about repeating patterns in Maths, not only using colours, but sizes, shapes, numbers and letters. Miss Topping even tried to trick the children out with domino spot patterns, but the children were far too clever and eventually realised what the pattern was! We thoroughly enjoyed watching the Art video with Mrs Mock and we all had a good go at following the step by step instructions to draw and decorate our own seahorse. Madame Morral revised colours and greetings in French and it was lovely to see her on the live stream. We have written our weekend news and what our ‘perfect pet’ would be, amongst other writing activities.

We can’t believe how quickly the first week back has gone, thank you all for being so supportive and sending such lovely messages during this ever changing time.
