U11 ISA Football Tournament at LVS, Ascot - Thursday 13th October

The Year 5 girls football team visited LVS Ascot on Thursday 13th October for the ISA girls football tournament. It was a very big event with a tournament for U11’s, U13s and U15s and football masterclasses run by Women’s Reading FC. It was the first time the girls had played a football match and they loved every second. There were some great football moments with lots of fantastic saves by Grace W and strong tackles made in defence. One of the matches even went to penalties which was nail biting and and a fantastic goal was scored by Marea L. I was very impressed by the girls team work, determination and enthusiasm throughout the day, even when the competition was tough. During the day the girls also got to meet the Millwall women’s goalkeeper and see the women’s FA cup. A fantastic day had by all!
