U8 Hockey v St Theresa's
15th November 2019

On Monday, a mixed group of year 3 boys and girls from hockey club went over to St Theresa's school for a match. Over the last 8 weeks, the pupils have been working really hard to improve their hockey skills and game play and this really paid off on Monday - resulting in a great victory! All pupils played fantastically well, and showed great sportsmanship by encouraging the other team throughout, and shaking their hands at the end. After a slow start, the goals started to roll in. It quickly went from 0-0, to 3-0, followed by a goal from St Theresa's to make it 3-1. As the game came to a finish, Gateway managed to slip in 2 more goals, making the final score 5-1. Everyone should be really proud of their efforts and I cannot wait to see what this talented bunch produce over the rest of the term.
