Year 1 admire the snowdrops in Forest School
3rd March 2017
On Tuesday we enjoyed creating bar charts in maths to show our favourite pancake toppings and in English we read the Runaway Pancake comparing it to the story of the Gingerbread Man. We have had a lovely week sharing the book ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’ written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler as part of our World Book Day work. We made puppets and wrote speech bubbles for each character. In maths we have begun learning our number doubles to double 10. We learnt that a double is when you add a number to itself. In Forest School we enjoyed the story Stick Man and made our own stick men.
We are very excited about dressing up for World Book Day and taking part in the Eco Book Swap which will have happened by the time you read this.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 11th of March for our Take One Picture Exhibition when we will be in the classroom.
