Year 1 Cafe - thanks for all of the support

Today I will start with a huge thank you to all mummies, daddies, grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts and siblings who came to support our Year One Cafe at the summer fun day. The waiters and waitresses were fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed serving the tasty goodies we had made. Sports day this year was full of fun, there were lots of exciting events and healthy competition enjoyed by all! Following sports day the children have been writing news reports in English based on the story of the Tortoise and the Hare. They were excited to interview the real characters from the story (Mrs Booth and I), asking well thought out questions pretending to be proper news reporters! In Maths we have been focusing on time, position and direction. We have used beebots to programme shapes and follow maps. Thank you to all for providing costumes for our Summer play which will be on Friday 7th July at 14:15 in the Great Missenden Hall. We have been practising hard! We hope the children are looking forward to move up day on Tuesday and having a day in Year 2.
