Year 1 children ask Beegu questions

Year 1 children ask Beegu questions

The children have continued to enjoy ‘Beegu’ by Alexis Deacon, he even came to visit us which provided a great opportunity for us to question him! The children were delighted to act as Beegu whilst their friends asked questions. We have looked at instructions and helped an alien get ready for school, writing a set of clear precise instructions using imperative verbs. We explored the River Nile in our Topic lesson and learnt about John Speke and his adventure along the dangerous river. We heard how the Nile was the river that baby Moses was rescued from in R E. In Maths we have learnt to turn by a quarter, half or full turn. We then used non-standard units to measure classroom objects, today we progressed to using rulers to measure objects in cm.

Please continue to practise Christmas play lines and cues as it will really help our rehearsals and make our play fantastic.
