Year 1 encounter strange metal objects on the school field
10th November 2017
A strange collection of metal parts and silver foil like material on the field on Monday caused great excitement in year 1. Xander thought an alien had crashed landed, Victor thought dinosaurs may have come, Ellinor thought it may have been a ghost, Jack thought it was a space craft. Lots of excellent talk followed and the children worked in groups to order a new story Beggu. It turned out, the story was about an alien who crashed landed.
Forest School was really fun and we noted that our ash tree, unlike the birches and sycamores nearby, was completely bare of leaves. This however, was not the most exciting part; this was when we used our own handmade binoculars to explore the whole area. Trees, fallen piles of leaves and even the spot where an alien had landed on our school field!
