Year 1 enjoy making Easter rabbit headbands
30th March 2017
In the last week of term, Year 1 have written our own versions of the story Handa’s surprise. We have learnt to use alliteration to make our work more interesting. We have used adjectives to describe the “scorching sun” as Handa walked to her friend's house. We have studied the sorts of houses that Handa lived in. Our Maths has focussed on telling the time, to O’clock and half-past, we then found out what these times would look like on a digital clock. If you have an analogue and a digital clock, perhaps you could place them side by side so your child can compare the times. The children have enjoyed making Easter rabbit headbands and wearing them for our drama lesson, pretending to be the real Easter bunny! We have been busy making Easter crafts; we hope you liked your Easter card. We have included some Easter Maths homework, the children might also like to write about their Easter holiday. We wish you all a very relaxing holiday!
