Year 1 - Enormous Turnip finally Pulled out by Farmer and his family
12th July 2017
Breaking news! Farmer Roger was glad of some help this week when he needed a hand pulling out a record breaking turnip he had grown on his Buckinghamshire farm. He called for his wife, his son and daughter, as well as the family dog and cat, but it was the help of a little mouse that made all the difference. Roger conceded, “I couldn’t have done it without them and felt it was only fair we all shared some at dinner time.”
The farmer and his wife agreed they had made a delicious soup with the turnip, but still had plenty left over and thought they might pop some in the freezer for the winter.
We are so glad you all got to see the spectacle of The Enormous Turnip and would like to wish you all happy holidays!
From the Year 1 Team.
