Year 1 presents 'The Elves and the Shoemaker'
4th December 2015
The long awaited week of our exciting Christmas play, The Elves and the Shoemaker finally arrived. The children have been brilliant, working hard to learn their lines, singing out the songs from the show and perfecting all the dances! We know you as parents have had a great deal of input into this and we would like to say a big thank you!
We hope your reward was seeing how brilliantly your child was prepared and how well they all performed.
In between rehearsals we have still managed to complete lots of school work! In Maths our focus has been on money; recognising coins and making amounts using the smallest number of coins. In English, we have been writing letters to a very special person and these have been brought home, fully addressed by the children and ready to post to Reindeerland.
Next Friday will be our Christmas party and the children can wear their Christmas jumpers. A lovely way for the children to relax after all their hard work and to get into the mood for the Christmas holidays.
