The highlight on Tuesday was our trip to Pizza Express in Amersham. The children loved the excitement of travelling with their friends on the train and responded really well to the kind staff in Pizza Express. They listened beautifully, followed all the instructions and created their own fabulous pizzas. Eating these pizzas for lunch was another fun aspect of our visit. In English our writing has centred around this trip; writing a detailed recount using time conjunctions and interesting vocabulary and also writing instructions which can be followed by someone wishing to create their own pizza.
We have also enjoyed a great week of practical maths. We have been weighing items on balance scales; first we had to estimate how many cubes it would take to make the scales balance. We were amazed how many cubes it took to balance everyday items such as a calculator, scissors and shoe.
